I first experienced a qigong master in 1995 — Effie P. Chow. I was so skeptical beforehand that I asked for my admittance fee to be lowered and she cut it in half — I think I paid $10. Then during her demonstration she had us make “chi balls” — holding our hands slightly apart with the palms facing — she had filled the room with chi. Sure enough I felt very strong electromagnetic energy pushing my hands apart. Then at the end everyone was leaving — in a University classroom. A security guard wandered in wondering what was going on since the fuse got blown in the room behind the qigong master. more…
